Babar Azam To Drop Mohammad
Amir, Pakistan's Probable XI For 3rd T20I vs Ireland
After
securing an emphatic seven-wicket victory in the second match, Pakistan will
lock horns with Ireland in the decider of the ongoing three-match series on
Tuesday.
The
second game witnessed Pakistan's absolute dominance with the bat as they
crushed the Irish in a high-scoring affair in Dublin.
Despite
losing skipper Babar Azam for a four-ball duck, Pakistan chased down a daunting
194-run target with relative ease as Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman struck
blistering seventies.
However,
bowling continues to be a concern for Pakistan, with Naseem Shah and Abbas
Afridi failing to scalp wickets at crucial junctures.
Despite
being amongst the wickets, Shaheen Afridi has been expensive with the ball,
while Mohammad Amir, who replaced Shadab Khan in the second game, recorded
forgettable figures of 1/44 in his four overs.
Therefore,
Pakistan might think to bench Amir, replacing him with either Abrar Ahmed or
Haris Rauf. If Abrar joins the side, he could be the game-changer for the
visitors in the middle overs.
On
the other hand, Rauf brings extra pace to the table and might run through the
Irish batting with aggressive fast bowling.
